Condensation and mould and ventilation

How many times have you heard or been told that condensation is caused by bad ventilation? How many times have you been told you are breathing too hard! Open your windows! The people who give this advice are completely missing the point. They assume that you are the problem. And we all know that an assumption is simply a guess! You are then persuaded to buy either a ventilation or extractor system which in effect masks the problem by introducing external air into your house. ( you could of course have the same result and a lot cheaper by opening your windows)But this approach never identifies the source of the moisture so it is never cured!
